State Representative Norine Hammond represents the 94th District in the Illinois House of Representatives. The district encompasses all or part of 12 counties. To view the map of the 94th, click here.
She was appointed Dec 9, 2010 to fill the vacancy of the late Rep. Rich Myers. Representative Hammond had served as Legislative Aide to Rep. Myers since 1997. In that capacity, she handled the constituent work, working directly with the agencies and their governmental liaisons in an effort to address the constituents’ concerns.
Representative Hammond was born in Berwyn, IL and attended Western Illinois University, in Macomb. Representative Hammond serves as Assistant Minority Leader. She is one of 4 House members serving on the Legislative Ethics Commission. She serves as Republican Spokesperson on Consumer Protection, Higher Education Committees and Human Services. Her other committee assignments include Appropriations-Higher Education, Insurance and Cyber Security/Data Analytics/IT. She also serves on the Legislative Ethics Commission.
In addition, she has served as Emmet Township Trustee 2002 – 2006, Township Supervisor 2006-2014 and the Macomb Planning Commission. She is married to her husband, Leonard and they have a daughter, Trish.
